Description
This is an extra large proto-shield, specifically designed for the Mega! You only need follow parts to solder and use, get a bundle for your prototyping.
You get two LEDs, reset button and useful 5V and GND power bus line on the board.
A BOM for this PCB:
- Break away pin header male
- Arduino special pin header
- 5mm dia. LEDs and 2 pcs of 1K 1 pc of 10K resistors.
- Buttons
- Decouple capacitor 0.1UF

This board is of very good quality, as the others of the series. It is designed for the Mega2560, but I used it for the DUE with a minor modification. The DUE is powered with 3.3V. To get the shield powered in 3.3V, you need to avoid all connecting 5.V pins, and power the 5V rail with the 3.3V output. This is minor modification and makes a great DUE development board.

I am adding a critical comment and suggestion for improvement :
Contrary to the UNO board, in this board the pins are not doubled. It makes it then more difficult to solder wires to the pins. Moreover, there is plenty os space that is still available on the board. It would be very nice if the pins were doubled as in the UNO boards.

It is a good quality board, but it would be easier if the terminals were doubled, by the way the color is green not red.
